Three days off from school. Allowing one a time to finish a certain second grade cookbook for the school auction, correct papers from two weeks ago, and continue to plug away at Pro-Cert. And that's all after some certain nanny cherubs are tucked away in their beds, dreaming of puppies and candy canes.
While Mom and Dad are off frolicking on the beaches of Hawaii, Nanny Em and the Summer Cherubs are playing games...
Sledding on Mt. Baker?
Skiing at Whistler?
Nope.
We went to the Woodland Park Zoo!
Can I get a Woot Woot!?
I was loving the classroom in the middle of the African savannah.
The zebras wouldn't come out of hiding, but when the summer cherubs and their gal-pals climbed high enough, they had our first animal sighting.
Don't be fooled by the look on Lefty's face. He loved the zoo. Not so much the pictures. The constant, never-ending pictures. Poor dear.
Curly Q's new best friend. This was taken after the beast on the other side of the glass flirted with me. Googly eyes. Kissy face.
It's a good thing Le's hubby came along so there was someone to watch the children while we stopped to take ridiculous and juvenile pictures. I'm framing this one.
Speaking of ridiculous and juvenile...
Inside the bird cage/habitat/umbrella of fun. Jon was beckoning the birds to come perch on his arms. Who's watching the children now?
And who's sticking birds in their purse?! Seriously.
My favorite sign of the day:

Uhhhhh.....I'm thinking of submitting that picture to FAIL Nation. Who's with me?!
And this is probably my favorite picture of the day. Curly Q's face. Priceless.
Before leaving the rainy land that had become the savannah, we had to travel south of the Equator and hang out with some very handsome boys in tuxes.
Ghetto Barbie out...

ReplyDeleteMiss Kloe- Those are Humbolt penguins. We didn't study them in class. They live off the coast of South America. And since you have such a wonderful teacher, you know where that is. :-) They're pretty cute, huh?!
