Auntie's been busy

The center of my universe is in Lynden.

You probably heard a large crack yesterday afternoon around 1:39 p.m. That was my world snapping back into place.

Lil' Man and his parents left Omaha at dark thirty yesterday morning. After a rather dramatic morning in Phoenix involving a reenactment of the airport running scene from Home Alone, a closed jet way door, and a crabby U.S. Airways employee who clearly hadn't had her morning coffee, they finally landed in The Emerald City.

And we have been busy, people.

We had corn for dinner last night. Even two-year-olds from Iowa know how to eat sweet corn. I'm so proud.

Then it was time to feed the chickens next door with Cousin Leslie.

This morning, we had our breakfast/mid-morning snack at the Lynden Dutch Bakery.

My sister-in-law is in major like with the Lynden flower baskets. We had to get a picture to showcase their girth and massivity. I don't know how the girl is going to manage to drag one of these bad boys labeled "Destination Rock Valley, IA" onto the airplane, but she's going to make it happen. She's allowed a carry-on. The door Nazi in Phoenix better have her morning coffee or a certain something may hit the fan. Hard.

Then we went to school to visit Auntie Em's cherubs. It was recess time. Oh. Boy.

There was a slide and "cartwheels" and soccer balls and basketballs and girls! Oh girls!

And then the bell rang. And someone was very depressed.

So we began the trek back home; past the baseball field, across the football field, over the bridge and through the woods to Auntie's house to went.

There was a giant sprinkler on the baseball field. Oh. Boy.

When we got home, it was nap time. And during nap time, I introduced SIL to the greatness that is Grandiflora. Then we blinked and found ourselves at Target. Whoops! Not sure how that happened. But it did. And I bought I cute new rug. The end.

Tomorrow, it's just me and my main man while his mommy and daddy head to Abbotsford for a wedding. And we have plans. BIG plans. Mr. Handsome is getting his pictures taken by none other than Stefan Elmer Photography. It's going to be epic. Tomorrow night, we're having a BBQ with some of Auntie's friends and their kiddos. It's going to be one large play date. All day long.
