Lazarus is dead.
Lazarus is standing in front of his tomb.
These are mourners.
They are standing outside Lazarus' tomb.
They are mourning Lazarus.
They will mourn Lazarus for seven days.
On day four, Jesus, the wonderful prophet whom many believed to be the promised Messiah, arrived from Galilee.
Mary and Martha, sisters of Lazarus, were upset that Jesus hadn't come sooner. If he had, their brother may still be alive.
Jesus, being a friend of Lazarus, Mary and Martha, saw the mourners and the tomb of Lazarus.
He wept.
After praying to his Father, Jesus called into the tomb, "Lazarus! Come out!"
Lazarus walked out of his tomb.
The people were AMAZED!
His sisters were happy once again.
Lazarus came out of his burial clothes.
The people recognized Jesus as the Son of God.
The religious leaders began to plot against Jesus.
And so God's plan for redemption would unfold.
And 2000 years later, second grade cherubs would retell these miraculous stories in Bible class.
And love every minute of it.

I. LOVE. THIS.
