Because all colonists watched movies in school...

My cherubs are learning about life in colonial days. We are reaching the end of our unit, and their minds are BURSTING with knowledge. To celebrate this new found knowledge of "the way things were", we are watching the American Girl movie "Felicity". Nothing teaches students about colonial life better than lounging in front of the T.V. with pillows and popcorn. Education at it's finest.

Notice the trance that they all seem to be in. The colonists were quite intense. Is this cream ever going to churn into butter?! Are we going to find enough feathers to stuff the mattresses?! Is mother going to have our new blankets crocheted in time for the cold winter?! Oh the stress. How on earth we ever survived without coffee and anti-depressants is a mystery to me. Those two things go hand in hand to make the world go 'round.

Happy Weekend!
